Working Hours at Commonwealth Bank

8.2
8.2 rating for Working Hours, based on 19 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Company is relatively flexible, depends on position. In my current role I usually start before 8:30 am and finish slightly after 5pm. If anyone has appointments or need time away for whatever reason, managers are very understanding.

Not a lot of flexibility with hours; but working from home is available.

I enjoy the flexibility of my work hours, I normally work 8-4 with some variation day to day (starting/finishing later) they trust that I will do the required 38 hours per week and do not keep track of my hours.

I work 9-5 however they are reasonably flexible.

Very flexible depending on your team. Work the normal 9-5 but they are very easy with an different start/end times depending on your personal preferences and the teams needs (most teams would do start times between 8-9.30 and thus finishes between 4-5.30). Also very flexible with taking appointments during lunch breaks and making up the time. Have to work from the office a portion of the week, unless you have a reasonable issue with it.

I was very happy before the 50% in-office mandate. This has significantly reduced flexibility. My preference it coming into the office 1-2 days per week, not 2-3. I also really valued having the opportunity to vary that if something happened in my personal life. I don't have that option now.

Very flexible, especially on working from home days.

We are currently doing 50% in the office. I was already doing 2 days in the office prior to this so it is pretty close. I would have preferred creating a behavioural change that showed the benefits of being in office rather than forcing people back. I can see the benefits because i'm in HR but less so if I were in a more specialised siloed area like tech.

Recently it has changed to 50% in office as a policy. I was already doing this before as I find that connecting with peers and learning. The days you come in are flexible and you can work them around your needs.

It is flexible for certain teams with the ability to work from home at least one day if required.

Exceptionally flexible if you communicate what they need. Depends on your needs.

Very flexible, I currently work 8:30-4:30 as that works best for me but I am able to adjust this day -to-day as suits.
