Your role

Daimler Truck Australia Pacific (DTAuP) is looking for a conscientious and innovative university student as an Information Technology IBL. Their 2025 IBL Program will connect you to real jobs, real experiences and real learning which will allow you to gain valuable workplace experience relevant to your chosen field of study.

As the Information Technology IBL, learn how to provide on-site support for Daimler Truck staff, assisting with iPhone and laptop refresh programs, assisting with new user access requests and other tasks as required.

Key tasks will include:

  • Provide hands-on support to the greater Daimler Truck Australia business.
  • Support the Applications team with new user administration, user audits and knowledge base updates.
  • Support the Infrastructure team with hardware rollouts.
  • Support with information security, architecture and data warehouse initiatives.
  • Create and raise purchase orders and process invoices to ensure compliance and vendors are paid on time.
  • Involvement in projects to ensure the delivery is on time and in line with budgets.

About you

Daimler Truck is looking for innovative and highly driven students with an interest in business processes and applications with a keen desire to help shape their fast-growing global business. The program will commence mid-January 2025. You will need to commit to full-time office hours until the end of January 2026.

To qualify for this program:

  • You must be an undergraduate student currently completing your penultimate year of study.
  • As of January 2025, you must have the remaining 12 months or 2 semesters of study to complete your degree.
  • This role would suit students undertaking an IT-related degree with a strong interest in the field.

As the successful candidate:

  • You will apply your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive business relationships as well as have a high attention to detail.
  • You will be a self-starter who is not afraid to work autonomously and has the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • You will have a strong interest in immersing yourself in this role in order to achieve greater insights into this business unit, and the Truck industry as a whole.
