The IT Service Desk Specialist will be the central point of contact between end-users and is responsible primarily for initial diagnosis and triage of incidents and service requests tickets alongside events monitoring, account management, on boarding and off boarding support. Must be able to prioritize incidents effectively and escalate to the correct teams. 

About The Job

What you will do:

  • Act as a central point of contact for phone calls, emails, chats, and self-service tickets from Home Credit employees regarding IT issues and queries.
  • Provide initial assessment, categorization, and prioritization for reported issues and resolve them when appropriate or escalate for further support where necessary.
  • Ensure tickets are correctly routed to appropriate support groups.
  • Manage user accounts such as password resets, access management, account creation and deactivation.
  • Monitor, triage and escalate system alerts.

What you need to have:

  • At least 2 years and above working experience as IT Service Desk or Technical Support
  • Knowledgeable on AD, O365 or Outlook, JIRA Service Desk or other ticketing systems.
  • Has experience handling inbound calls, outbound calls, chats, and email support.
  • Fundamental knowledge in Linux, Wintel, and Network Operations
  • Technical documentation
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written skills

Pros

  • Everyone is so supportive and I'm grateful for their trust in me which gives me the confidence in my work.

  • The work-life balance here is great. It emphasizes flexibility, which helps me manage my time effectively.

  • What I can say in HC is they really live up to their tagline 'No small roles, everyone is important.

  • The bootcamp was a great help in adapting to the work environment, with sessions and a project simulating our future work setup.

  • HC is very output based... you just have to make sure that you're doing your job correctly.

Cons

    • The thing I like the least about working in my company is when colleagues micromanage me.

    • The distance from my home to the office takes me around 2 to 3 hours of travel time.

    • Sometimes I have tight deadlines and it can be stressful, but it helped me improve my skills.

    • Our office is clean and very conducive for work. However, I feel like it no longer fits us all.

    • Not so much, occasionally having weekend duty and night activity.
