What you will do:

  • Support collections processes by generating, deploying, and statistically evaluating strategy changes and pilots, effectively extracting and analyzing information stored in our databases. The analyst will handle ad-hoc investigations and analyses along with longer-term pilots.
  • Meet and work directly with late collections analytics manager to help deliver key collections results - Extract and analyze information from databases - Create tools and strategy changes that will automate/optimize/improve existing collection processes.
  • Generate strategy changes and implement champion-challenger statistical testing from pilot design to implementation.
  • Manage database environment, jobs, and procedures - Actively monitor collections performance, investigate and explain source and impact of any occurrences

What you should have:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or any related course
  • Active knowledge and experience with SQL (Oracle).
  • Preferably with knowledge in using R or Python programming.
  • Preferably with knowledge in using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Practical knowledge of hypothesis testing and usage of typical statistical tests (e.g t-test, ANOVA, etc).
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office tools.
  • Ability to write in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Analytical mind, problem-solving, well organized, can be trusted to pay attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with senior management
  • Agile, willingness to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
  • Fluent English is spoken and written (our company language)
  • Continuous active learner, highly interested and motivated in the data science field

Pros

  • Everyone is so supportive and I'm grateful for their trust in me which gives me the confidence in my work.

  • The work-life balance here is great. It emphasizes flexibility, which helps me manage my time effectively.

  • What I can say in HC is they really live up to their tagline 'No small roles, everyone is important.

  • The bootcamp was a great help in adapting to the work environment, with sessions and a project simulating our future work setup.

  • HC is very output based... you just have to make sure that you're doing your job correctly.

Cons

    • The thing I like the least about working in my company is when colleagues micromanage me.

    • The distance from my home to the office takes me around 2 to 3 hours of travel time.

    • Sometimes I have tight deadlines and it can be stressful, but it helped me improve my skills.

    • Our office is clean and very conducive for work. However, I feel like it no longer fits us all.

    • Not so much, occasionally having weekend duty and night activity.
