Culture at Inland Revenue

9.0
9.0 rating for Culture, based on 6 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
There is a team structure, but we sit in an open plan space. The policy leads and senior leaders are very accessible and friendly. This is a strong emphasis on teamwork, across teams and departments. There are catchups to ensure everyone is heard across levels of advisors. I have made several good friends in this job. Part of this is the rest of the graduate cohort, but also graduates from previous cohort and other people in my team. There is regular after work events, both planned and informal.

It is a very flat structure and even the executive managers are highly approachable. At a team level, everyone is very open about their communication with each other, which makes it easy to work together.

The work place is a very social environment. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and most importantly, everyone, including leaders are very accessible. Everyone will give you time and help if you need it. Office hours are flexible, and Working from Home is allowed, meaning you have the flexibility needed to easily go to things like appointments etc.
