Junior Research Analyst (Rolling Intake)

Your role

ISS is seeking talented and motivated fresh graduates to join their ISS Research Team and fill the role of Junior Research Aanalyst in Makati, Philippines.

The main responsibility of the role is to analyze proxy statements to complete proxy analyses for shareholders' meetings of publicly traded companies covered by ISS' Research team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Gaining understanding of investment and shareholder issues gathered through fundamental research.
• Distilling financial and corporate governance information to write research reports and issue proxy vote recommendations based on ISS' policy guidelines.
• Maintaining advanced understanding of compensation, board, and shareholder rights issues.
• Answering internal or external issuer queries on research reports and be able to discuss policy issues.
• Actively participating in various working committees and/or special projects

About you

To fit the role, applicants must possess these qualities:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
• Knowledge in investment analysis and/or financial research, or other business-related area
• Basic analytical ability and financial understanding of investment issues
• Understanding of corporate governance issues, corporate transactions, and capital markets
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
• Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Amenable to work on extended hours (overtime, holiday & weekend work) during the Proxy Season
