Your Role
Key responsibilities as follows:
- Analyze proxy statements for shareholder meetings of publicly traded companies.
- Write research reports and issue proxy vote recommendations based on ISS policy guidelines.
- Maintain an understanding of compensation, board, and shareholder rights issues.
- Respond to internal or external queries on research reports and discuss policy issues.
- Participate in working committees and special projects.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- * A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Knowledge in investment analysis, financial research, or a business-related area.
- Basic analytical skills and financial understanding of investment issues.
- Understanding of corporate governance, corporate transactions, and capital markets.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to work extended hours during the Proxy Season.
- Availability for full-time contractual employment lasting 5 to 6 months.
