The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance support —in a J&J way—to their Operating Companies worldwide. Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) is one of such initiative under Global Services Finance. 

J&J is seeking a Risk Management & Compliance Intern who will have responsibility for the fulfillment of the compliance programs across J&J entities specifically compliance support to multiple due diligence reviews, project support, admin tasks, etc.

Key responsibilities

• Due Diligence (DD) and Compliance Health Checks (CHC) Testing Support:
  • Preparation of testing templates and work papers
  • Support in performing simple validations and checks such as but not limited to:
  • Matching of GL vs. SL;
  • Substantiation of ending balances to supporting documents; and
  • Simple recalculation, footing, etc.
  • Files organization and housekeeping.
  • Schedule meetings and regular connect.
  • Time and attendance monitoring of consultants.
  • Help with slide presentation preparation 
• SOX/Audit/Project Support:
  • Organization of files and audit requirements.
  • In charge of logistics and meeting cadence.
• Admin Support:
  • Support in upcoming compliance activities, events, and team building.
  • Daily admin requirements, as applicable.
  • Ad hoc support to the Compliance Supervisor and Compliance Team as necessary.

About you

• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related business subject area.
• Understanding of internal controls and audit procedures.
• Good at presentation preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Should have passion for data analytics and insights gathering
• Proficiency in basic MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word) required.
• Proactive, results-driven, and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, sound judgment, and decision-making skills
