The Pastry Assistant is responsible for working closely with the pastry chef and other team members to assist in the preparation and production of various pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Assists the pastry chef in finishing activities for bakery products, including but not limited to, icing, glazing, decorating, and packaging.
- Ensures that the finished products are visually appealing and meet the company's quality standards.
- Monitors inventory levels of bakery finishing supplies, such as icing, glazes, decorations, and packaging materials.
- Performs quality checks on finished bakery products to ensure they meet the company's standards in terms of taste, appearance, and freshness.
- Reports any quality issues to the supervisor for corrective action.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- College or vocational course graduate, preferably a Culinary course.
- Preferably with experience in pastry or baking.
- Must have basic knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Must be familiar with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Must be able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Possess strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious pastries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be amenable to work on shifting schedules in Makati or Taguig.
