Job Description:
- Provides family planning information and advices to patients and their families.
- Educates women on reproductive health and advocates prenatal care for expectant mothers.
- Provide counseling and advice following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality and neonatal death.
- Acts as senior midwife in the shift and leads the management of the ward team in providing patient care.
- Attends to normal deliveries and refers abnormal deliveries to physicians.
- Conducts post-mortem care on deceased infants.
- Advises necessary examination for the earliest possible diagnosis of pregnancies at risk.
- Monitors the patient before birth, during labor and after giving birth.
- Organize and updates records for the preparation of required reports.
- Performs other related task as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of Midwifery course
- Four (4) hours of relevant training
- One (1) year of relevant experience
- RA 1080 (Midwife)
