2022 Occupational Therapist (Rolling Intake)

Kids Haven is looking for an Occupational and Speech & Language Therapist who can give service to children with special needs. The duties may include comprehensive evaluations of the client’s home and other environments, recommends for adaptive equipment and training in its use, provide guidance and education for family members and caregivers.

• Evaluate a patient’s condition and needs
• Develop a treatment plan for patients, laying out the activities and specific goals to be accomplished
• Coordinate with the patient’s physical and speech therapist to provide an interdisciplinary approach for the patient
• Educate a patient’s family/school/employer about how to accommodate and care for the patient
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on how to use that equipment
• Assess and record a patient’s activities and progress for patient evaluations, for billing, and reporting to physicians and other health care providers
• Provide training to parents and caregivers to address the child’s problem and facilitate generalization of skills
• Facilitate educational program to in collaboration with other professionals who are providing services for the child with special needs
• Provide proper documentation through initial evaluation, re-evaluation, OT notes, progress reports and endorsement notes
• Conduct home instruction program for continuity of activities done in the clinic
• Perform other duties as required in connection to the need of patient.
