We're seeking motivated and innovative individuals to join us on the 2026 NAB Graduate Program. As a Graduate at NAB, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while developing your skills and building a rewarding career.

Our exciting Graduate program offers hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. You'll work on innovative projects, receive training and mentorship, complete meaningful work and have the chance to network with leaders across the organisation.

About People and Culture (Human Resources) 

The People and Culture team supports NAB by developing and managing our people activities and services, helping to shape a workplace and culture which inspires our colleagues to be the best they can be.

We enable NAB’s strategic ambition and are custodians of our colleague experience. We focus on making our People and Culture services simple, safe and fast for our colleagues to do their jobs and serve customers well. We provide great data and insights to help our leaders make sustainable workforce decisions.

In People and Culture, you will:

  • Work on major people and culture projects
  • Contribute to research, strategy, and initiatives across the P&C portfolio.
  • Use your analytical capabilities to help leaders make data-driven P&C decisions.
  • Support colleagues with P&C policy advice and queries.
  • Simplify and standardise P&C policies and processes.

Our Graduate program is designed to lead to a career in People & Culture. Our Graduates successfully transition into an Analyst or Associate role with one of our teams, providing diverse opportunities to specialise. 

The 15-month Graduate Program commences 16 February 2026

Pros and cons of working at NAB Australia

Pros

  • Amazing Culture and People. Employees are valued and recognised for the hard work that they put in. The company has a very supportive environment and has many different learning and development opportunities available."

  • Flexible working (WFH), emphasis on work-life balance. Big organisation so lots of areas to get involved in and explore.

  • Great learning opportunities - 3-4 rotations depending on your dream to get exposure to different parts of the bank. Good work-life balance.

  • Employees are recognised for the hard work and initiative that they take which gives them the opportunity to further our career development.

  • The graduate culture is amazing and everyone is very social and happy to catch up.

Cons

    • Sometimes we have to navigate lots of old tech and systems.

    • Because it’s such a large organization, it can be tricky to know the ins and outs of what each function does, but that comes with time, experience and exposure.

    • Sometimes have to work long hours.

    • There were lots of stages of the interview process

    • We don’t get any bonuses. Apparently they used to but they stopped a few years back.
