Job Description

As a Technician in the Materials Science Laboratory group of Western Digital, you will be part of a dynamic team that oversees SEM and SEM-EDX analysis and provides characterization support. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn new techniques, interact closely with fellow technicians and management team and be part of a global workforce in accomplishing the sub-function team’s goals assigned at Western Digital.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct SEM-EDX outgoing analysis and prepare characterization reports
• Develop techniques necessary to solve characterization issues or problems and/or improve the team’s processes
• Support characterization activities for product and process development and improvement
• Applies knowledge/skills to complete given tasks as well provide innovative solutions
•  Collaborate with fellow technicians, engineers, and management team   Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• College level within a technical degree or any technical vocational course
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Prior experience in operating any analytical tools
• Chemical Technician License
