Technician, PHO DOE Advance Recording Laboratory

Job Description

Communicates with engineers and technical specialists regarding GUZIK DIAMOND and AMBER testing control schedule and execution, actual testing results, when an issue arises affecting the timely movement of key experiments. Ensure that throughput is meet, execute procedures and processes to ensure correct and efficient testing methodology.  Ensures proper tester preventive maintenance and control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Daily Machine 5's
• Ensures testers are in control and are within the specified control limit.
• Perform tester GR&R and daily control monitoring.
• Perform daily and periodic maintenance.
• Perform Monthly/Quarterly Inventory.
• Perform the first level of Tester Repair.
• Highlights issues to engineers when problems are encountered which may affect experiment results. Updates engineers with the status especially when delays are encountered and result feedback is affected.
• Provide initial analysis on test parameters (TDP, PES, Magnetic resistance, etc.) 
• Ensures test plans are followed and executed.
• Collaborates with other maintenance and Development teams regarding issues and key lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or 2 years Technical Degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• With knowledge and or at least 1-year experience in HDD testing, Blade, Diamond, and Amber/Jade.
• With good numerical, analytical, interpersonal, and planning skills.
