Application Process & Interviews at William Buck New Zealand

The interview process included some proficiency tests which I completed at home before arriving for an in person interview. This included a section where I recorded myself answering some basic interview questions. The interview process was stress free and the directors who interviewed me were very friendly.

The interview process is relatively intricate but thorough, reflecting the company's commitment to meticulous screening and selection of candidates.

Super efficient and quick

I was hired from within, so I only had an interview with the directors.

Initial correspondence with HR, did the test and video interviews. Got through to the 2 interviews, which were more like a "meet the team". Interview was also very accommodating with my request for online interviews

Standard interview process. Apply, do some tests and verbal interviews.

First round interview is with the general manager and a director, mainly discussing work experience, job description and expectation. Second round interview is with a director and a manager from the team, talking about personality, typical workflow and team culture

I was an intern first so the interview process was relaxed

Three interviews and a psychometric test.

I was asked about some of my experiences at my previous place of work which could be relevant to the field of auditing. I was also asked about my history and education, as well as what my short and long term plans were for my career.

For the graduate role, the interview focused primarily on basic behavioral and attitudinal questions. I was asked about my approach to handling everyday challenges and small problems.

My previous job experience and my problem-solving skills. My interest and hobby.

Experience and qualification. Question on whether I would work well within the team (I already knew them from being in the admin team).

Soft skills-based questions.

Standard questions, such as why do you want to work here etc.

What would you expect to learn and achieve within a few months from this job? Why are you interested in working with us? What kind of values and culture you are looking for from your employer

Try your best during the aptitude tests that you will take at home. During the interview, make sure to give examples of times you have used your problem solving skills, as well as times you have worked well in teams.

My advice to candidates applying to our company would be to be confident in your abilities. Prepare to embrace a work environment that is enjoyable and supportive, which will surely contribute to a positive work experience.
