The coolest thing about my job is getting to work with many stakeholders across such a span of the mine lifecycle. We are involved in exploration planning, long and short-term mine planning, operations, hazard management and mine closure.

I chose Defence because of the opportunities and diversity of work.

I love working with data. I spend a lot of time on Excel and our trending software looking for patterns and trying to understand what’s happening in the process.

Having a positive attitude will get you far in any job. A lot of any role is people management and working effectively in a team environment.

It’s cliché but true – I knew from the start that I wanted a grad role in an organisation that I believed in and would be proud to say I worked for.
