The TAFE Queensland training was fantastic. Most of the teachers were qualified electricians, they had run their own businesses or worked for big companies, and they had a variety of experience to draw on whether it was domestic, commercial, or industrial.

Being a part of Engineers Australia has allowed me to meet so many inspiring engineers who have done some amazing work. This inspiration is so important because it gives me the motivation to be the best professional that I can be.

Now that I have been accepted into the 2018 graduate program, I will be moving around the business and gaining experience in many different roles and locations.

I really love that we’re empowered with a high degree of independence in the decisions we make, which is enabled by a work culture that is entrepreneurial, data-driven, and agile. This lets me get work done efficiently with other Emmies and encourages me to make a bigger impact through the work that I do!

What you need is the ability to learn and adapt to the situation given to you. It is vital to acknowledge that you are someone that doesn’t know anything thus you should be asking questions.

It has only been three weeks since I started at Snapmart but I have already learned so much from working closely with my team as well as with the other departments!
