A Day in the Life at Fuse Recruitment

I find that communication between supervisors and other interns is great for keeping the workflow smooth.

Lunchtime is a great time to chat with the other interns and see what they’ve been doing since their internship is vastly different than mine in marketing.

When I have the chance to catch up with my supervisor, we review my goals and assess where my help is needed for the day.

With all the other tasks done, I have time to manage scheduling, handle ad hoc tasks, and navigate essential recruitment platforms.

I handle various tasks such as creating detailed candidate profiles, conducting thorough reference checks, and making follow-up phone calls to candidates and clients.

Every day, I'm assigned different tasks, and I make it a point to tackle each one unless it's part of an ongoing project. I enjoy the variety, it keeps things interesting and gives me opportunities to learn new things along the way! 

Towards the end of the day I get time to work on projects! Every week I am assigned a different one. It could be related to social media content, competitor analysis, or website design auditing.  

I always check my emails to make sure I'm up to date with everything that's going on. I also ask the team if there's any work they need help with. If not, I’m busy preparing candidate profiles and handling inbound calls.  

I will try to get all the tasks on my agenda completed. If I do not, I make sure to leave a note for myself of any work that needs to be done the next day I am in.

When I do conduct a phone call, I always formally introduce myself and ask them how their day is going.

Every day is different! The task might be to write up a candidate profile, complete a reference check, or update the details of candidates in our main database, Bullhorn.

The team always greets me and makes me feel so welcome. With such an open office, it feels very inviting!
