The security team will always extend a warm welcome to the employees as they arrive on campus. Unilab is strict about guaranteeing safety and takes a number of precautions, such as full body scans and security detectors. It reassures me as an employee that I am safe while working in the office.

7:35 AM

I started my day with a cup of coffee because I have a full morning workshop. Fortunately, our office is directly above a coffee shop.

7:40 AM

I headed upstairs to find the location of our hybrid training as it will start at 8:00 AM

8:00 AM

We are blessed to be part of an organization that promotes professional development among its employees. To prepare us for the constantly evolving demands of the pharmaceutical system, Unilab invests in various training and development programs. I was enrolled in “Developing Business and Financial Acumen” course with a cloud-based simulation. Through this course, I will be able to understand the prospects and business problems encountered by pharmaceutical firms.

8:30 AM

We were placed in groups for the hybrid training program. A huddle room was also provided for us so that we may plan our presentations and discuss our strategies. Here, our trainer was outlining the goals of our training for the day. The hybrid set-up demonstrates that, no matter the set-up, we can connect, learn and eventually apply our key learnings to our work.

9:00 AM

We normally eat in the cafeteria but the organizers were so thoughtful to provide breakfast for us!

10:00 AM

This is me and my groupmates as we start planning for our strategies and group presentation. We were given ample time to discuss and connect as a team.

11:40 AM

Here we are learning from each other and discussing our key take-aways. One of the good aspects of this training is that even if we are coming from different places, we still obtained the best training experience and we were able to meet our groupmates face-to-face.

11:45 PM

Since it’s already lunchtime, I went back to our office to eat lunch with my CBG teammates. Corporate Branding Group (CBG) is a small group composed of achievers, high performers and contributors in strengthening the corporate equity of Unilab! Truly blessed to be part of this team! Here we are on our way to the cafeteria. We normally go together to get our food!

12:00 PM

Our lunch meal is composed of a meat, fish, and of course vegetables. We have a dessert too! We also have a health lane for those people who would choose to eat a “healthier” option. We are blessed to receive subsidized meals from Unilab. Eating with CBG team is one of the highlights of the day. There are lot of places for office interaction at Unilab. You can actually use the numerous table and chair arrangements throughout the campus to eat, work, or simply take a break. To get some fresh air, we chose to eat outside of the CBG office.

1:00 PM

Knowing that I would be in training all morning, I saved my afternoon for my work plans and deliverables. Here's a look inside CBG's office. A specific cube is assigned to each employee.

2:30 PM

I decided to take a walk in order to get some fresh ideas as I make plans for the rest of my engagement activities. I walked upstairs to look for open spaces where I could keep working. We don't spend the entire day in our office cubes because there are other locations where we may complete our daily work. I chose this location in this instance. Seeing a different environment is beneficial for marketers since it helps us to think and be innovative!

3:00 PM

We have a fundraising event led by the Sourcing and Materials Management team. This is a week full of great food and drinks along the corporate center walkway of ULCC. Here you can see different food stalls where employees can choose a variety of food and drink selections. A portion of profits will go to Destiny’s Promise Home for Children.

4:00 PM

I have a content shoot today to showcase the different anti-counterfeit measures in place for Unilab products. That’s me holding Bioflu and discussing the differences between fake and authentic Bioflu product! This will be featured in the Unilab social media pages soon! The shoot ended at 5:30 PM.

5:30 PM

Office hours end at 5:30 PM. I felt fulfilled today as I was exposed to various activities, met new friends and colleagues, ate healthy food, spent time with my CBG team, and took part in making our nation healthier!
