Main Job Purpose & Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe and balanced operation and maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration Plant Equipment, and implementation of improvement projects in Refrigeration Plant which includes Compressors, Vessels, Evaporators, Evaporative Condensers, Ammonia Valves and Controls, Ice Cream Freezers, Hardening Tunnels, Glycol and Brine Systems, Chillers, Cold Storage, Ageing Room Production HVAC Systems, Desuperheaters, Air Purges and Ammonia Diffusion System including electrical controls, instruments, gauges, sensors, transmitters, SCADA System and Water Treatment program to provide the needed cooling load requirement of the factory whilst supporting the delivery of operational KPIs (Productivity, Quality, Safety, Health and Environment, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Innovation and Sustainability).

Qualifications Required

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control disciplines or any related Engineering course or have completed Unilever’s Multi-Skilled Technician Training Program
  • Preferably a licensed engineer or a Registered Master Electrician or a Certified Plant Mechanic or Certified Instrumentation Engineer.
  • Graduate of other technical/vocational course with proven necessary aptitude to enter Multi-Skilled Technician curriculum through demonstration of basic mechanical, electrical and instrumentation knowledge and ability to perform problem solving in an engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer
  • Ability to organize, lead and coach a team

    • Due to it being one of the bests in the industry especially when it comes to finance the expectations might sometimes be too high.

    • Living in Manila one is not immune to the horrible traffic of the country, making the commute to and from work much worse than it should be.
